This expansive city residence offered us the opportunity to explore the use of water in the landscape on a large-scale. Giant established Oak trees set the tone for a soft, flowing and curvy garden that would nestle around the house. Large granite boulders were aesthetically placed. These formed the basic structure around the landscaped pond.
A slatted floating L shaped bench provided a seating area by the water and detailed slate ʻcrazyʼ paving was inter-planted with creeping ground covers to blend the with the garden beds. This garden has become a cool, peaceful and meditative place.
